As a celebrant, I was recently contacted at very short notice to conduct two funerals for Maunders Funeral Service, and I was genuinely impressed by the warmth, professionalism and care I experienced throughout.
The funeral arranger, Kathryn, was an absolute pleasure to work with, kind, approachable and incredibly efficient, with excellent communication throughout all the back-and-forth that comes with arranging a funeral at short notice. I always felt that nothing was too much trouble.
It was also a real privilege to work alongside Mark, the funeral director and his professional team. Both services were beautifully organised and ran seamlessly, with such obvious care and attention to detail.
As a fellow professional, I know how much goes on behind the scenes to make a funeral feel effortless for a family. This team does that exceptionally well, combining professionalism with genuine warmth and compassion. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

From the first moment we spoke to Kathryn and then subsequently met her, she was understanding to our needs and understood how we were grieving for our dear lost wife and mum . I cannot thank Kathryn and the entire team enough for the extraordinary care, respect, and dignity they showed to my late husband, and our family. From our very first meeting, we knew we were in the most safe and capable hands.

Kathryn is an absolute diamond. She took real loving care of my husband, ensuring every single detail (no matter how small), was handled with thought and perfection. You can feel how deeply she truly cares, not only for the loved ones who have passed away, but for the families navigating the grief left behind.

On the day of the service, Stuart (our Funeral Director), our limo and hearse drivers were simply fantastic. They guided us with immense professionalism and grace, yet had the perfect warmth and personality to put us completely at ease during the most difficult time.

They all made sure my husband was given the incredible send-off he deserved. They exceeded every expectation and didn't disappoint for a single second. I will be forever grateful for their kindness.

Very Professional and friendly team from initial contact, Kathryn was very supportive and empathetic. Mark provided an exemplary service, planning every detail with such care and attention to match our exact requirements. Alison the celebrant provided much insightful support and delivered the eulogy and guided the service with grace and empathy. The team at Maunders basically turned a very stressful and emotional time into a great celebration of my Dads life.

We want to thank Kathryn and Mark at Maunders Funeral services in Paignton, for taking such great care of Mum and for providing such care, attention and kindness to us throughout the whole arranging of Mums care and funeral service.

The support Kathryn and Mark have offered us as a family has been outstanding. When arranging the funeral we mostly liaised with Kathryn, who was simply lovely. If we had queries when she wasn't available, Mark was able to answer them. Communication was excellent.

Responses to queries were always dealt with thoroughly and swiftly, with personal touches throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, Kathryn always allowed us as much time as was needed whether in person or on the phone and email queries were also responded to with very quickly

The service itself went very smoothly, Mark and his team took care of everything, reducing the stress on what was a very difficult day. The recommended celebrant Michelle was also a perfect fit for us and she provided a beautiful service.

After care has also been excellent with contact and support given to all of us.

We would highly recommend using Maunders Funeral Services; we couldn't have had better people helping us at such a difficult time
