About Maunders Funeral Service
Situated in Well Street on the edge of the Victorian Paignton Parish church yard, Mauders Funeral Service was originally a builder’s yard, but back in the early 1900s it officially became titled ‘Maunders builders, funerals & coffin makers’ and began to establish a lasting reputation caring for local families.
The team at our Paignton funeral home will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our own service venue on-site.
Here at Maunders Funeral Service we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.
If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.
Meet the Team
Jenny has been with Maunders Funeral Services since 2015 having previously worked in branch banking for three years. In 1985 she returned to the workplace after looking after her daughter. She started working as a part time receptionist and book keeper for a funeral directors in Sheffield. Since then she has worked for various funeral directors working her way up to Funeral Director.
She says “For many years I combined my work with funerals with being a Guide Guider and Guide Commissioner. I enjoy the job satisfaction when a family just say thank you for a job well done.”
She enjoys sewing and baking. She is also very proud that she received the area prize and highest pass mark for the NAFD Diploma in the Yorkshire Region in April 1992. This also meant that she was the first woman in Sheffield to gain this qualification.
